Some of the fugitives currently being profiled by NC WANTED:

Cesar Laurean: Police have launched an international manhunt for the alleged killer of pregnant Marine Maria Lauterbach. The charred remains of Lauterbach and her unborn child were found in Laurean's backyard in January. Authorities believe Laurean may have fled to Mexico. He is a Hispanic male, with brown eyes and black hair. He may be using the aliases Cesar Gudino or Cesar Sanchez.

Unknown Man Wanted for Questioning in Jenna Nielsen's Murder: Police have put together a composite sketch of a man they want to talk to in connection with the 2006 slaying of Jenna Neilsen. Neilsen was eight months pregnant when she was stabbed to death behind Food Mart in Raleigh. Her murder remains unsolved.

Louis Avendano: On February 28, 1996, authorities say Louis Avendano shot and killed Raul Torres Guillen, his own roommate. Avendano is a 36-year-old Hispanic male, about 5 foot 8 inches tall, weighing 145 pounds. It's possible that he lost both his legs in a train accident.

Phu Tan Nguyen: Several witnesses have identified Nguyen as the man who shot a man in a parking lot in broad daylight in 1996. He is an Asian male, 33 years old, 5 foot 5 inches tall, weighing about 120 pounds. Authorities believe he may still be living in the Raleigh area, perhaps using an alias.

Robert Trent Burkey: This former professor may be a man of higher education, but he is wanted for low and despicable acts against children. He has been charged with possession of child pornography and aggravated sexual assault. He is a 40-year-old white male, with brown hair and brown eyes. He is 6 feet tall, weighing about 200 pounds.

Celestino Guttierez-Molina: Molina is wanted for first-degree murder and indecent liberties with a minor. He was last seen in the Carrboro area in 2006. Authorities believe he may be in Mexico. He is a 44-year-old Hispanic male with brown eyes, dark brown hair and a mustache. He  is 5 foot 9 inches tall and weighs about 190 pounds.

Willard Eugene Smith: Willard Eugene Smith has been on the run since he was 16. He is now 28 and has been accused of killing a man during a gun fight in Moncure, NC over a $20 debt. He is a black male with black hair and brown eyes. At the time of the incident, he was 5 foot 9 inches tall and 135 pounds.
