Raleigh, N.C. — City leaders are seeking the public's input on the city's next police chief.

A brief survey available on the city's Web site wants to know what citizens see as the challenges facing the city. City leaders also want to know skills a police chief should have and what questions Raleigh residents would ask in the interview

The deadline to respond is May 6.

Jane Perlov, the city's former police chief, resigned March 2 to take a position to become head of security for Bank of America in Charlotte.
