NC WANTED ALERT
Arrest Made: Bloods and Crips Murder

NASH COUNTY:   A Nashville man was arrested Tuesday and charged with murder in connection with a gang-related shooting over the weekend, police said.

Rodney Antoine Alston, 20, of 536 Indian Trail, has been charged with first-degree murder and is being held without bond in the Nash County Jail.

Stanley D. Howington, 19, of Whitakers, was trying to break up a fight at a party Friday at 1316 Green Tee Lane when he was shot, police said. He died later at Pitt Memorial Hospital in Greenville.

Police said the fight was between members of rival gangs, the Bloods and the Crips. The gunman fired into a crowd at the party, and it didn't appear that Howington was the intended shooting victim, police said.

Detric Antwon Hunter, 23, of 2813 Peebles Drive in Rocky Mount, was charged with discharging a firearm into occupied property in connection with a gunshot fired into the Green Tee Lane residence as he left the party, police said.
