Raleigh PD: Armed Robbers Captured

At approximately 5 p.m. Monday, a male suspect entered the First Citizens bank at 2721 Stonehenge Drive. He wielded a knife and demanded money from a teller. After the robbery, the suspect fled the bank and was seen entering a nearby car driven by another individual.

The two suspects were taken into custody a short time later near the intersection of Falls of Neuse and Honeycutt roads after being observed by an RPD officer who determined their car resembled vehicle used in the bank robbery.

The suspects, who were subsequently charged with robbing the bank, are John Maxwell Sizemore (DOB 9/9/82) and Jacob Albert Sizemore (DOB 4/9/88). John Sizemore was the suspect who entered the bank; Jacob Sizemore was waiting in the car. The suspects are brothers.

In addition John Sizemore was charged with another count of armed robbery and one count of attempted armed robbery. Those two charges concern crimes that occurred at the State Employee’s Credit Union at 2401 Blue Ridge Road. The robbery there occurred on 12/26/07 and the attempted robbery occurred on 1/25/08. In both cases, victims using the ATM were approached by the suspect.
