
DURHAM COUNTY — DURHAM COUNTY: A tip to NC WANTED led Durham Police to arrest Terry Demetrius Lee, who faces robbery and shooting charges.
Lee, 16, is believed to be involved in the January 20 shooting of a 44-year-old man on Gurley Street. Three men approached the victim demanding money. When the victim said he had no money, one of the robbers shot him in the leg.
Another suspect, Ronald Armbrister, 18, was arrested January 20 and charged with robbery with a dangerous and assault with a dangerous weapon inflicting serious injury.
Authorities said Lee is a documented gang member who is known for evading officers. He is a black male, 5 feet 7 inches tall and 160 to 170 pounds.
This is the 11th capture in North Carolina resulting from NC WANTED's ongoing coverage of fugitves and unsolved cases in North Carolina.
It took the courage of a local resident to come forward and provide the information that helped police bring Lee to justice.

Durham police are trying to locate Terry Demetrius Lee who is wanted on robbery and shooting charges from an incident last month on Gurley Street.
A 44-year-old male was walking in the 1100 block of Gurley Street around 3:20 p.m. on January 20 when three males approached him and demanded money. When the victim told them he had no money, one of the suspects shot him in the thigh.
One suspect, Ronald Ambrister, 18, of Wake Place, was arrested on January 20 and charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon and assault with a dangerous weapon inflicting serious injury. He was also charged that day with shooting a 51-year-old male in the upper thigh January 14 on Wake Place. The victim was apparently an innocent bystander.
Lee, 16, of East Club Boulevard is wanted on charges of robbery with a dangerous weapon and assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury. He is described as a black male, 5 feet 7 inches tall and 160 to 170 pounds.
