Police probe game-store robbery

Durham police have asked for the public's help in solving an armed robbery at a GameStop store on May 5.

DURHAM, N.C. — Durham police have asked for the public's help in solving an armed robbery at a GameStop store on May 5.

Investigators said two men entered the store on North Pointe Drive, off Guess Road near Interstate 85, around 10:35 a.m. and browsed until other customers had left.

They then pulled down hoods to cover their faces and pulled out guns, police said. The two forced employees to lie on the floor and demanded money and video games.

Police described one robber as a black man, between 18 and 25 years old, who stands between 5 feet 6 inches and 5 feet 8 inches tall. He had a medium build and a dark complexion and wore his hair in cornrows.

Officers said the second robber was a black man, between 18 and 25 years old, who stood between 6 feet and 6 feet 3 inches tall. He also had a dark complexion and wore his hair in cornrows.
