FRANKLINTON, N.C. — Family, friends and neighbors held a prayer vigil Sunday for a missing Franklinton teenaged girl.

The vigil took place at the worship center of Faith Baptist Church, 249 Holden Road in Youngsville, at 3 p.m.

Kali Elizabeth Norris was last seen Thursday night. Police say they consider Kali endangered, because she has a medical condition that causes seizures.

“She told her mom goodnight and she even played a game with her sister before she went to bed. Everything seemed like a normal night until the next morning when we woke up and Kali wasn't there,” father Roland Norris said.

“I’m feeling worried. I know God's with her. I’m just a little worried for her safety that she's OK,” mother Mary Norris said.

The state Highway Patrol launched an air and ground search on Saturday night after a CSX employee reported that he thought he had seen Kali walking along the railroad tracks.

A helicopter using infrared technology flew over an area from Kitrell to Wake Forest between 8:30 and 9 p.m., and officers also searched on the ground.

The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children has also put its resources behind the search for Kali.

Police said Kali run away once before in early May, but returned less than 24 hours later. Her parents said Kali didn't remember what had happened and that she may have neurological problems.

Kali was scheduled to see a specialist Wednesday. Her parents said they don't know where she could be.

“We don't know, we don't have a clue. I wish I could tell you, because then I could know where to concentrate my thoughts and my efforts," Roland Norris said.

“I just totally have faith that God will find her, and he knows where she's at and knows what she needs," Mary Norris said.

Kali is described as white female, standing 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighing about 125 pounds. She has red hair, brown eyes, pierced ears and a scar on her left forearm.

Kali was last seen wearing a black jacket and gray T-shirt with a camera and flash printed on it, as well as light blue jeans and black-and-white checkered, slip-on Vans shoes.

Anyone with information on Kali's whereabouts should contact their local law enforcement agency.
