Fayetteville, N.C. — Skeletal remains were found in the Cross Creek area on Saturday, Fayetteville police said.

The remains were discovered in the woodline off Nan Street around 1 p.m. and were taken to state Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Chapel Hill.

No other information about the case was immediately available.
