Fuquay-Varina, N.C. — A girl who accused a Fuquay-Varina man of a sex act told her mother she made up the charges.

The woman said her daughter admitted that Terry Sidney, 37, did not do anything to her. She said she was asking police to drop the charge against Sidney.

Sidney was arrested for sexual activity with a minor in his care on Sunday.
