Marshals make second arrest in Durham home invasions

Members of the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force arrested a second man wanted in four armed home invasions in Durham in late June.

Marshals apprehended Charles E. Johnson, 30, of Murray Avenue, on Lil Marcia Lane in Chapel Hill Thursday morning.

Johnson faces seven counts of second-degree kidnapping, four counts each of robbery with a dangerous weapon and breaking-and-entering, and one count each of first-degree sexual offense, larceny and possession of a stolen firearm.

Durham police officers arrested Jose Javier Reyes Marquez, 36, of Weather Hill Circle, in connection with the same cases last week.
