Student charged with bringing weapon onto school property

An East Wake High School student was charged Wednesday with bringing a weapon onto school property.

RALEIGH, N.C. — An East Wake High School student was charged Wednesday with bringing a weapon onto school property.

Wake County sheriff's deputies arrested Jamaal M. Estelle, 16, of 7317 Campsite Drive in Wendell, after he was found in possession of a serrated hunting knife while on campus, according to an arrest warrant.

Estelle was released to the custody of his family. He is scheduled to be in court on April 14.
