ELIZABETH CITY, N.C. — A $1 million winning Powerball ticket was sold in North Carolina.

The winning ticket was purchased for $2 at the Zoom In convenience store on South Hughes Boulevard in Elizabeth City. The winner has 180 days to claim the prize.

According to the North Carolina Education Lottery, the $1 million prize was one of six $1 million prizes won nationally in Monday’s drawing.

After no jackpot winners, Wednesday night's Powerball drawing offers a $1.09 billion jackpot, or $527.3 million in cash. It would be the fourth largest jackpot in Powerball history.

You can watch the Powerball drawing on WRAL News after the 11 p.m. newscast.
