Bulls drop second straight to Scranton, 14-2

The Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders dropped the Durham Bulls for the second straight night, 14-2 at the DBAP on Thursday night.

Carlos Narvaez connected for a two-run homer in the third inning to give the RailRiders (15-8) a 4-0 lead over Nathan Wiles (L, 1-2) and the Bulls (9-15).

Durham scored twice in the fifth against Clayton Beeter (W, 2-1) on a single from Rob Brantly and a force-out grounder by Jonny DeLuca, who was assigned by Tampa Bay on a major league rehab earlier in the day.

Scranton tacked on two more in the sixth, then put the game away by scoring eight times in the ninth inning.

Durham committed a season-high five errors, walked seven and allowed 11 hits in the loss.

Wiles worked three innings, permitting six hits and four runs.

The series continues on Friday night at 6:35 PM ET with Jacob Waguespack (0-0, 4.15) scheduled to start against Edgar Barclay (1-1, 3.06).
