Mark Mitchell announced he has committed to the University of Missouri in a post to his Instagram post.

Former Duke forward Mark Mitchell has committed to the University of Missouri.

Mitchell <a href="https://www.instagram.com/p/C58uhN0A2Gc/?hl=en" target="_blank">made the announcement Friday on his Instagram page</a>.

In two seasons at Duke, the lefty averaged 10.3 points, 5.2 rebounds and 1.1 assists per game.

Mitchell is a former McDonald's All-American and five-star recruit.

Coming out of high school, Mitchell had scholarship offers from Duke, Missouri and UCLA.

Mitchell is a native of Kansas City, Kansas.

A procession honoring fallen officer Alden Elliot, an officer with the North Carolina Department of Adult Correction, will leave the Mecklenburg County Medical Examiners' Office and travel to Bennett Funeral Home in Newton on N.C.
