Kitchen staff member at Lenoir County Jail arrested for allegedly having sex with inmate
A Lenoir County Jail kitchen staff member has been arrested and charged with having sex with an inmate and providing the inmate with contraband.
Posted — UpdatedOn Monday, Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office investigators received information about a kitchen staff member — who is employed by Summit Staffing (which has a contract with the Lenoir County Sheriff's Office) — that led to an investigation.
During the course of the investigation, it was determined the staff member had engaged in a sexual relationship with an inmate and gave the same inmate contraband.
Annette Daniels, 49, of Greenville, was arrested Wednesday and charged with two counts of a sexual act by a custodian and one count of providing contraband to an inmate.
She was placed in the Lenoir County Jail with a secured bond.
The investigation is ongoing.
