Man in custody after mental health crisis in Cary
Cary police and emergency workers safely took a man suffering a mental health crisis into custody. According to the Cary Police Department, officers said a person was suffering a mental health crisis at a home on Overcup Oak Lane.
Posted — UpdatedCary police said a person was suffering a mental health crisis at a home on Overcup Oak Lane and required urgent treatment. Emergency responders were able to get to the man around 7:45 p.m. Tuesday.
Police said no one was injured when they took the man into custody, and he is now receiving the treatment he needs.
"We would like to send our heartfelt thanks to all members of the community for their patience, understanding during this time," a spokesperson for the police department said. "Your cooperation greatly assisted first responders in bringing this situation to a peaceful conclusion."
