I'm meteorologist K Campbell in the Wral severe weather center. Breakfast temperatures right around 60 degrees with plenty of sunshine as we head to our lunch time, it'll be nice to eat outside. We warm up to 77. Humidity is low. It's a great night to grill out for dinner tomorrow, temperatures top out right around 80 degrees. The Durham Bulls are back in town this week. So if you're looking for something to do outside during this nice stretch of dry weather, they would be perfect. 635 1st pitch Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, Tuesday is gonna be the cooler of the days with temperatures around 80. But as we get into Wednesday and Thursday, it'll be warmer and feeling a bit more humid with the first pitch in the eighties. The next three days, we warm up to 88 on Wednesday, 92 on Thursday. You'll be feeling the heat on Thursday and a little bit of humidity with that as well. It's going to be feeling more steamy Thursday day, especially Friday and lasting into Memorial Day weekend as well. So things are quiet for us right now. We've got a ridge of high pressure that's built in across the area, it's going to lead to dry weather for a bit. But once we get to the weekend, we've got a cold front approaching and that front is going to stall across North Carolina for a few days. And what that will do that's going to act as a focus for showers and storms to fire up along that front as we heat up throughout the day. So it's mainly afternoon and evening storms that we would see pretty typical of a hot summer day. It's unsettled. There will be storms around this weekend, but it is not a washout weekend. Saturday, Sunday, Monday all feature a better chance for storms though. They may hold off until a little bit later. Friday into Friday night. High temperatures through Memorial Day weekend will be in the mid to upper eighties each day. And at this point, it looks like we're going to see some sunshine peaking through each day. So it's not necessarily an overcast weekend. It'll be pretty warm and muggy though. Enjoy the week. At least during the work week, we get some dry weather mixed in mostly sunny skies. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and then early in the day on Friday before showers and storms arrive late Friday into Friday night. Scattered storms stick with us through the Memorial Day weekend and our low temperatures climb back into the mid sixties.
